[Building Sakai] PDA version of YAFT

Francette,

The inlining of tools into the PDA portal is a little fragile - we put a lot of work into 2.9 to make it better but I don't know if YAFT works in 2.9 - but it is very likely that it will not work inlined in 2.8. Most Wicket tools *don't* work in inlined mode :(.

So the workaround in Sakai 2.8 is to add something like:
portal.pda.iframesuppress=:all:sakai.yaft:sakai.synoptic.yaft:sakai.yaftadmin:
In your sakai.properties - chances are good that you already have something as this property - feel free to send a note as to what is already there and I can make a better suggestion as to how to change the property.

When the property includes :all:, it means to inline all of the tools *except* the listed tool ids.

/Chuck

Students have been complaining that the PDA version of YAFT does not load when using mobile devices e.g. iPads and Samsung Galaxy’s. Instead they are directed to switch to the full view of the portal. We have tested and found this to be true.
