[Building Sakai] Moving student data between course sites

Hi Steve:

If you are talking about all the work of the student in a site (he has done
tests, assessments, wrote in forums...) I'm afraid (except is someone has a
"secret weapon") that your need is really complex to be done. Things that
the user has done are related with items (assessments, forums, messages...)
from a site, not directly to the site. So to move things from a site to the
other is technically a nightmare.

The only thing I can imagine (doing a very ugly trick...) enter as admin,
watch all the things the user has done and coy them to a "paper" with a
"pencil"..., enter as the user and do the same in the new site (same scores
in tests, same comments, send again the same assessment...). It's awful and
I don't know if legal... but surely you will need less time that trying to
touch database.

Asunto: [Building Sakai] Moving student data between course sites

We have a situation where a student has changed classes, where each class is
a section of the same underlying course, but each class has its own distinct
roster and Sakai site, but they share the same instructor. Is there a way to
move the student's material from one site to another?

Thanks,

Steve
