[Building Sakai] Need Expert help with EntityBroker in Portal

Hi all,

I need some help from EntityBroker experts.   I am trying to add EB support for /direct/portal in this JIRA:

I have some code in a patch that sort of starts working but fails quickly.   I could use a little help from folks who know EB better than me.   Details and parch are in the JIRA.
