[Building Sakai] Proposal: Upgrade from Jira 5 to Jira 6

I had a question about how long Jira 6 has been available. Jira 6 came out about 6 months ago, May 2013 [1].

And a suggestion to include a link to new Jira 6 features [2].

I notice the new mobile support which is very exciting. Now you can be commenting on Jira issues while having supper with your family. A family member is sure to ask you what you are doing, which will provide a great opportunity to educate them about open source software and Sakai and potentially recruit another member to our community. That’s how it works, right? ;-)

According to the plugin page, support for JIRA 6.x is not included because the newer version includes similar functionality built-in.
