[Building Sakai] Renaming of tool within page

Is this something that could be fixed in JIRA https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/KNL-917

I have applied patch back to our 2.8 and also 2.9 instance, and I just renamed my gateway page and tools on my 2.9.3.1 instance, seems working fine without the problem that Jeremy ran into.

I believe this may be controlled by the 'is_home_tool’ property which is set on the original home tool.

Interesting, I see what you mean. But I did get it to change if you update the description too, with the method mentioned by Adam. So I guess there is a bug that does not write/commit if you change only the title.

Cant you also do this by clicking on the options link on the welcome page? You will then be able to set the tool title and page title (which is the one in the LHS menu).

In "Site !gateway / Page !gateway-100" page ("Welcome" page) I reordered the "MOTD" and "Welcome!" (sakai.iframe.service) tools. However, after I had done that, the "Welcome!" (sakai.iframe.service) tool got renamed to: "Service Information Display". I cannot rename the tool back to: "Welcome!". Could someone please offer a solution?
