[Building Sakai] convert calendar of sakai - need guidance

Dear  all,
Im a student and i want to customize sakai and change its calndar type to 
arabic. I neead help to know what changes are necessary, i mean i have a code that converts date to arabic, but i dont know where i have to use 
it and which classes need change and which classes dont! If its possible guide me what to do or whom to contact.
