[Building Sakai] SCORM player for 2.9?

Just an FYI, after much discussion with Roland, it seems that the contrib SCORM player is currently not compatible with Oracle.

We've got the player running in production with 2.8, the source can be found here:

I'm surprised we've made it this long without much interest in SCORM and Softchalk but we've finally gotten some pressure here. Rustici's player looked like one of the few commercial options until recently, but reviewing some discussions on list it seems like the Contrib SCORM player was greatly improved by Edia.

First, does anyone want to speak to their experience working with either of these?

Second, as best as I can tell from my web searching, neither is compatible with 2.8, let alone 2.9. Is anyone starting the work of upgrading the contrib tool to work with 2.9, or know of Rustici's plans?
