[Building Sakai] Your experience with the samigo audio recorder

Hi
Our foreign languages department uses the Samigo audio recorder quite a bit
and most of the time it works great. Semi-frequently we get complaints that
students have lost their recordings. I do not see errors in the tomcat log,
and in most cases the recording is not successfully saved to the tmp folder
it uses.

When I look into it further, on several computers while a recording is in
progress the CPU utilization goes to 100%. My theory is that with the CPU
at capacity, the door may be open to a failure. Newer computers that aren't
polluted with "student junk" top out around at around 25% while recording.

Has anyone else had these problems reported? If so, what did you do?

Has anyone tried using an alternative audio recorder in Samigo? Our users
have also expressed that they would prefer the recorder be embedded in the
page, rather than popping in its own window.

Thanks!
