Your best bet is to use a web browser that lets you inspect elements, like Safari/Chrome/Firefox, and have a look at what styles are being applied to the elements.
The CSS you want is mainly all in portal.css for the skin you are using. You may need to touch tool.css, but the inspector will tell you where classes are being pulled from.
