[Building Sakai] Skin patch

Hi Nkululeko:

I have in my PC 4 different Sakai codes from several projects with kernel 1.1.9, 1.2.2 and 1.2.6 and I have this file in all of them... 

And it's in the trunk too...

https://source.sakaiproject.org/svn/kernel/trunk/kernel-impl/src/main/java/org/sakaiproject/site/impl/

and in an older version too:

https://source.sakaiproject.org/svn/kernel/tags/kernel-1.1.1/kernel-impl/src/main/java/org/sakaiproject/site/impl/

So the file is in the kernel source code in all versions... Are you sure that you have downloaded the kernel SOURCE? When you download the 2.8.0 source, kernel source is not downloaded automatically and you need to do the svn co by yourself. Check the version you need and do it from https://source.sakaiproject.org/svn/kernel 

Surely that was the problem...

Hi Diego,

In the kernel-deploy folder, when I run the patch with this command:

patch -p0 --dry-run < skinpatchKNL.diff

I get a message that it can't find file to patch at input line 5. It is
looking for this file, and I also couldn't find it,

kernel-impl/src/main/java/org/sakaiproject/site/impl/BaseSite.java

I'm using the 2.8.0 source.

What am I doing wrong?
