[Building Sakai] subscriptions to non public calendars

For some reason, when I try to look at SAK-21718, I get a permission violation. I can see other issues in JIRA and am logged in. Can others see this?

Lydia just got this up and running here at Stanford on our qa server, some notes

1) Works best in iCal, ok in Zimbra, not so great in Google Calendar. All three can get the calendar in there initially (though Google can't do it consistently), but some are less convenient to update than others if a change is made in Schedule. There is no way to force a refresh in Google--updates may eventually show up, but a lag is a fail in my book. This is not on our end, it requires a change on Google's side.
2) Still need to test on Outlook (I have a mac), but I'm sure it works
3) It will be tricky to remove the "Export" function and replace it with this, as some people currently use Export--need to develop communication and transition plans to give them lead time.
4) The language of "Subscription" versus "Subscribe" is confusing and we may want to change the label of one or the other. Any suggestions? I will look into this further
5) We are going to run some performance tests, in case some students sets their calendar to refresh every 5 minutes.
6) Because I can get this into Zimbra, I can get this onto my iPhone, but I'm curious how many different routes there are to getting this to appear on an iPhone, or an Android for that matter. Would love to hear other's thoughts, as I would be writing up some user guides.
