Do you where to find the initial string of the URL In this case .....  http://sakai.ouroldserver.org:8080/access/content/. Does it sits in a database or does it reference somewhere else in the installation?

Nick,

Check the content_resource table.  The entire string won't be in there,
but from /group/be8... And afterwards should be.
