[Building Sakai] assignment 2 bogus error message

Two student repotted (and supplied screen shots) showing that when they tried to submit, they got the error "submissions are no longer being accepted for this assignment." The access log appears to show that they attempted the submission more than an hour before the due date. Many other students worked properly, however the two failures seemed to have happened at about the same time, but other students submitted correctly at about the same time, and the event log shows no change to the assignment anywhere near that time.
