[Building Sakai] profile 2 cookies

Matthew Jones has suggested that there are 2 cookies in use by profile 2. I was wondering if anybody could comment on what they're used for? Are they essential for the tool to work right?

Looking through the trunk-all source, there are a tools (osp/profile2) that also use cookies so those are worth verifiying. Otherwise this discussion came up with the same conclusions last month. (Only used for required functionality)

It looks like cookies are being used in connection with the searching capabilities and navigation? This should be verified.
