In the release notes of Sakai 2.8.0 [1] it says: "Support for IMS BasicLTI outcomes". This is then incorrect?

Subject: [Building Sakai] Example how to use LTI Basic Outcomes Service

Gerard,

LTI 1.1 does a great job of outcomes - it is easy to do and there is example code.

Sakai 2.8 does only does LTI 1.0 (Basic) - Sakai 2.9 fully supports LTI 1.1. There is some work in process to back port the code to 2.8.

It is much better to back-port the LTI 1.1 code to 2.8 than to make some new web service.

Sample code:

http://ims-dev.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/lti/web/
http://ims-dev.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/lti/web/common/tool_provider_outcome.php
http://ims-dev.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/lti/web/util/lti_util.php

/Chuck
