[Building Sakai] Sakai and JDK 7

Hi,
        There has been a Jira(SAK-20908 
<https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-20908>) for sometime. I just  
built sakai trunk with JDK 7 and ran it in tomcat 7 No errors so far. I 
am wondering if this qualifies for 2.9 release?
