Hi Greg,

Adding the Jira as a reference here: https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/PRFL-146

If anyone is using Profile2 and has an IE8 machine, we'd appreciate your input either on this thread or in the Jira as this seems difficult to pinpoint.

thanks,
Steve

We're attempting to collect data to figure out if we can find a specific cause with the browser, but nothing definitive yet as its a mixed boat on when IE8 works and when it doesn't.

Any other institutions have this issue or could do something testing with IE8 (IE9 would be good, too) and help report data, that would be greatly appreciated. Emulating IE7 seems to fix it, but we'd prefer to emulate IE8 to deal with the other known issues.

Hopefully by 2.9 we can switch to CKEditor by default and have all other IE9 related issues fixed. But then they'll have IE10 out so we'll probably still need an IE=EmulateIE9. :)

Additionally, any specific tools or areas where a newer browser has a problem would be good to know, too. Any concerns people may have thought of for their implementation decisions is appreciated, as well.
