[Building Sakai] synoptic assignments

Adam -

The client that originally wanted SAK-18587 put that work on hold, so we haven't take any action on it. I think you could definitely expand the scope of what the synoptic tool could do. Our client's main goal was to show instructors assignments that are waiting for them to grade, but you could also have a student view that shows the student upcoming & completed assignments. A sort of 'Assignments Dashboard' if you will.

This has been mentioned a couple of times here at Oxford the idea being that there's a tool in both My Workspace and a regular site displaying up-coming assignments.

It has also been requested that the my workspace version contains links to all submitted essays (a kind of portfolio if you will).

Is there any work in this area (apart from Chuck's portal redesign project).
