[Building Sakai] Signup Tool - incorrect behavior question

Hello:

We are building Sakai 2.7.1 tag and include the latest Signup tool for 2.7.1.  There is a UI issue we observed with this and the previous release.  I wonder if this is a known issue, and/or if there is a patch available for it?

To reproduce:
Go to a site that includes the Signup tool
Launch the Signup tool
    From the home screen, choose to 'Add' a meeting
    The Create New Meeting: Basic Information screen is displayed
    'Cancel' from this screen, you are correctly returned to the home screen
    Choose another tool (for example, Site Info), and see that tool's home screen
    Choose to go back to Signup tool,
        At this point, the Signup tool home screen (expected) is not shown; rather, the user is
            shown the 'Create New Meeting' screen, which is not the expected behavior...

Thanks for any information about this issue.  I did not see it in the Signup contrib tool JIRAs, but may have missed it.

If this is not yet fixed, we welcome any guidance on how best to fix it and we will gladly contribute any fix back to the project.
