[Building Sakai] 2.9 portal depends on Profile2. Opinions?

My argument is simply that portal should have no dependency on a tool 
implementation. Some of us don't use profile2 a requirement that we all 
do is a regression and bad architecture. If there is requirement for a 
chat infrastructure it should be in shared service.
