[Building Sakai] Synoptic Chat Question

Howdy,

I have a 2.7.1 site with multiple chat rooms.  The synoptic chat tool 
for this site is displaying 'x' chat messages from each room, where 'x' 
is the 'Number of Chat messages' option from the synoptic chat tool.

I have 3 rooms, if I set 'Number of Chat messages' to 4, I see 12 
messages, etc.   Is this functioning as designed?  My expectation is 
that synoptic tool would display only the number of chat messages I have 
designated in the options for the tool.
