[Building Sakai] Roster not respecting Profile2 Privacy Setting for Email

Steve,

We setup the profile.manager.integration.bean=org.sakaiproject.profile2.legacy.ProfileManager integration as you suggested but the email setting from Profile2 is still not being respected in the Roster tool.  You had offered to take a little closer look if it did not work for us.

Hi Mike,

Just noticed you are using Profile2 1.3.11. You should upgrade to the latest 1.3.15 as there is a bug in the Roster integration in 1.3.11 in relation to the images. This won't affect the privacy settings you reported though.

There is a minor DB upgrade you need to perform to get to 1.3.15:

Hi Mike,

If you set the property you mentioned, the Roster will look to Profile2 for it's data. And it should be filtered based on the privacy settings from P2. If you don't see this filtering, let me know and I'll look into it.

We are using Sakai 2.7.0 with profile 1.3.11...

When we go into profile and go to edit the privacy settings, I select "Only Me" next to contact info.  When I goto a course that I am in as another user everyone can still see my email address in the roster tool.  It appears that the roster tool is not respecting the privacy for email but it does work as expected for a phone number.

To make this work do I need to change  set the sakai.property of

profile.manager.integration.bean=org.sakaiproject.profile2.legacy.ProfileManager

to make this work?
