[Building Sakai] LDAP sakai 2.8.0

Hallo

We upgraded from sakai 2.6.0 to sakai 2.8.0 and use Ldap for authentication. 
We are on Java 1.6.0_25 Tomcat 5.5.23

In the past when users loged on the USER_ID was the same as the EID in the 
SAKAI_USER_ID_MAP table therefor a My workspace was created with site Id  like 
~10092757 

When users login now the USER_ID field changes to a uid and the EID is still 
in our case the university number. The error we get is that the users doesn't 
see their sites anymor a new myworkspace is also created with ~(uid) as site 
id.
When I update the SAKAI_USER_ID_MAP to set the USER_ID =EID and waite a wile 
the users are fixed and can see their sites. But I need do do this constantly. 

What can be wrong
