[Building Sakai] Viewing inline PDFs from Sakai causes FF to freeze

We're running Sakai 2.7 and experiencing an odd issue with uploaded PDFs causing Acrobat Reader 9.3.4 to freeze which causes Firefox 3.6.8 to freeze on the PC. I've also tested files attached to announcements and the same situation occurs.

Basically, all PDFs from one of our faculty can be uploaded OK, and when requested from a PC, will load the first page. When the user requests subsequent pages (next page icon or scrollbar), a progress bar appears in the bottom right. This progress bar does not proceed. At this point, the user can kill the tab or risk freezing Firefox.

When we take the same file and drop it onto another web server, all is good. It loads just fine in the Firefox Acrobat plugin.

Has anyone else seen this?

Chris
