I'd suggest at least -Xmx2048m -XX:MaxPermSize=512m to avoid any performance
issues.

Thanks,
Anand

Subject: [Building Sakai] How much RAM for small installation?

Hi all,

I'm setting Sakai up for a non-profit that estimates they will only have about
40-50 users. How much RAM do you think an installation that small would need? Do
you think it would need much more than the recommended for a dev server
(-Xms512m -Xmx1024m)?

I am setting it up on a server from their hosting service where the monthly fee
goes up depending on how much RAM you need. Trying to keep it as low as
possible. Thanks for any insight.

I will be installing 2.7.x using a MySQL db on Debian OS if that makes any
difference.
