[Building Sakai] Oracle jdbc jars

We will be upgrading to Sakai 2.7 and will run with JVM 1.6 and need to use a compatible Oracle jdbc jar.  We are running Oracle 10g.  Oracle claims compatibility of the 11g thin driver with 10g.  Does anyone have particular good or bad experiences or recommendations concerning recent Oracle Jdbc thin drivers?
