Update: Sakai functionality in Google Scholar appears to be back. If this is not the case for your Sakai installation, please post to the list.

A correction to the e-mail I sent on Friday: The Sakai implementation registry file that Google’s crawler encountered a failure on is actually located on sakaiproject.org, not sakaibrary.org.

Hi all,

According to Google, this problem was caused by a failure when Google's crawler last tried to retrieve the registry of Sakai Citations Helper implementations from sakaibrary.org<http://sakaibrary.org>. Unfortunately, they also report that it won't be fixed until sometime next week when Google next crawls sakaibrary.org<http://sakaibrary.org>.

I plan to work with Google to try to find a better solution for hosting this registry so that we won't run into this problem again.

Mame Awa Diop,

This looks like something happening (or not happening) on Google's end. We will check into it.

Thanks.

Jim

Hi guys,

We just realised that there is no longer the option "Import in Sakai" in the Google Scholar search page in our Sakai instances. We don't know exactly when it desappeared but it used to be there.
I checked the nightly build (http://nightly2.sakaiproject.org:8087/portal/) and the option isn't there either.

Do you guys know if something has changed or do we need some more configuration to avoid these kind of behaviours?
