[Building Sakai] Kernel 1.1.x

Hi Sonette,

The major kernel versions are effectively bound to the major Sakai versions, so you can use kernel 1.0.x with the 2-6-x branch, or 1.1.x with the 2-7-x branch, but you can't mix them unless you're prepared to do some custom changes to reconcile differences in APIs, etc.

If there are features in 1.1.x that are important to you, it may be possible to merge selected changes into a local custom 1.0.x kernel (with care).

Regards
Stephen

Hi,

Is anyone using Kernel 1.1.x successfully?

Do you suggest Kernel 1.0.x or 1.1.x?

Regards
Sonette
