[Building Sakai] MySQL or HSQLDB

MySQL will perform according to how you have it set up (my.cnf) 

But in general yes.. It works great for Sakai. There are quite a few
production installs on MySQL I believe... 

( UCT? Cambridge? ) etc etc..
