[Building Sakai] Grouper as a GroupProvider

Has anyone done any work on using Grouper
(http://www.internet2.edu/grouper/) as a GroupProvider for Sakai?

Locally we're looking at switching from using LDAP to Grouper to get
our Sakai groups from, although Grouper typically provides an LDAP
interface we want to talk directly to the WebService interface so that
we don't see any delay between changes made to a group as the
membership Sakai sees. This is because we also plan to allow people to
modify the groups in grouper through Sakai (small AJAX UI).
