[Building Sakai] Message disappeared in Forums, but it's there in the database

Hi all,

We just had a strange occurrence of a message reply that was successfully posted and an email notification sent out, but has now disappeared from view. It's is still there in the database though and the deleted flag is unset. Luckily we have verbose logging turned on:

I can then see the email notification go out and everything else. Nothing to indicate why the message is no longer visible though. Search indexing and GC ran a few minutes afterwards.

In the database, I can see the message of id=14749 and uuid as above just like any other message. I can then see it was in reply to another message, which also exists. It's just the reply is not visible at all in the Forums view.

Any ideas?

We are running Sakai 2.6.x with the email notification for new Forum posts added (SAK-11740 / MSGCNTR-200).
