Hi Kam,

As Miguel mentioned, Sakai 2.7 hasn't been released yet but should do shortly.

For Sakai 3, you can read about the timeline here:

You can also test drive it now at http://3akai.sakaiproject.org which is a nightly build server (so may not be the most stable).
