[Building Sakai] SMS service for Sakai: preview release

Hi All,

We've cut a preview release of the SMS (Short Messaging Service AKA
text)  for Sakai. This is the code that we'll be piloting and testing in
production in the coming days at UCT. The service currently includes:

1)  Services to send messages from Sakai to mobile phones
2) An admin interface for managing user accounts and checking statuses
3) a user tool that could be placed in a site to allow users to send
SMS's to Sakai users.

The release can be downloaded from:

NOTE: The release is tagged to build against the upcoming 2.6.0 release.
If you wish to build against other version please edit the parent block
of the projects base pom.

For testing without actually sending messages to a gateway there is a
SMPP simulator at:
https://source.sakaiproject.org/contrib//sms/trunk/sms_smpp_sim/
alternatively the tools can be viewed without a simulator or gateway
present - however there will be warnings in cataliana.out as it attempts
to deliver the messages.


The service has been (and will be) tested against Clickatells SMPP
gateway (http://www.clickatell.com/). It should however be compatible
will all standard SMPP gateways.
