in the version I'm using there are 4. I know it's not the file name format,
I know it's not that the thing is a collection... so that leaves the catch
-all catch (Exception e) on del and read.

I'll add some instrumentation to the "hail mary" exceptions in this and see
if I can get something useful.

while I do that I'm just going to replay the upload.
