[Building Sakai] manifest xml file?

hi all,

In test&quizzes,I upload the question with image..Its uploaded..after I import the same file by selecting "content packaging"..I get zip file folder..In this zip folder,two xml file and one attachment folder is there(.jpg)...

what is manifest file?what is the use of this file in sakai?

attachment is an folder name?

how the <file href > is generated?automatic or manual?if it generate randomly,where i get this value?
