[Building Sakai] Sakai linux login issue

Hi
             Actually i deployed sakai in windows xp.
I took the war files from webapps - tomcat and pasted it in the
webapps - tomcat of linux.
When i started tomcat and opened the sakai application in a browser it opened.
But when i log in it says invalid user.

i followed the instructions to create the  sakai data base from the
install guide.

i am using mysql.

is there any database permisssion issue ?

Please provide some information on this.
