[Building Sakai] getting UserId null

[KetanNale]

I am using sakais appBuilder to develop new tool. In that i have used
following auto generated function to get UserId---

externalLogic.getCurrentUserId();

first time when i am at start page displaying person list there is no
problem in getting userid but when i click on any person name link to see
details i get userid "null".
