[sakai-core-team] Standard for Error messages?

Hi Sakai-core,

Is the standard for user error messages that they display at the top of 
the web page? That seems to be what I recall and want to make sure 
before opening a Jira for the Syllabus tool.

Btw, I don't suppose there are any "user interface standards" per se? 
Don't laugh too hard. ;-)
