Folks - I assume that we are all testing the shiny new git repo so we can make a "develop in git" or "go back to svn" decision by tomorrow morning

At this point with testing so far and no red flags raised it feels like we are go for git liftoff and if folks feel strongly otherwise we should not be shy about it.

I am assuming that all the "quiet" means it looks pretty good :)
