[Deploying Sakai] Fwd: Unable to access the installation Url http://localhost:8080 after Sakai Installation - Need Help !

Just looking at what you posted, you are only building/deploying the master module.  Have you run similar mvn commands form the root of the source code rather than just inside the mater module?  Master is just one of many modules that needs to be built.
If you have run from the root, could you attach the log from when tomcat starts up?  There's likely something useful in there that could help diagnose the problem.

Hi

Am building sakai 2.8.1 from source.

cd master

mvn clean install - BUILD SUCCESSFUL

mvn clean install sakai:deploy -Dmaven.tomcat.home=/usr/tomcat - BUILD SUCCESSFUL.



But after i restart my tomcat server after the above process, i am unable to access url http://localhost. Before the building process it worked.


Please provide me the solution. Here are my specification


Sakai version  - 2.8.1

maven verion - 2.2.1

apache tomcat verion - 5.5.33

JRE_HOME:        /usr/java/default - Using SUN JAVA

java -version result

java version "1.6.0_31"

Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_31-b04)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 20.6-b01, mixed mode, sharing)
