[Deploying Sakai] Switching from Sun JDK to OpenJDK (Debian Linux)

Has anyone looked at switching from the Sun JDK to OpenJDK, or is
running on OpenJDK?

The reason I'm asking is that Debian tends to have better support form
OpenJDK and it seems to get security fixes faster (in a packaged for)
than the Sun JVM.
