[Deploying Sakai] customising OAE UI for an institution

Ø  I would like to change the text 'sakai' to our institution branding 'interact' throughout OAE. It seems I have to modify /dev/bundles/default.properties as well as go through default.properties for every widget we will use, e.g. /devwidgets/welcome/bundles/default.properties.

Maybe we can add a configurable Institution name in config.js like this:
InstitutionName: "__MSG__INSTITUTION_NAME__"
And in the main default.properties add the key/string.
We'll then have to modify the string in bundle files where this is used to something like MESSAGE = Welcome to ${InstitutionName}
And modify the l18n bundle to check for this and insert the Institution name. I'm not sure what type of overhead this would have on the l18n process.

So I came across this issue when trying to customise OAE. 2 examples are below.

I would like to add some contact details to the footer for various places like the service desk, and maybe some copyright information. It seems the only way to do this is to modify /devwidgets/footer/footer.html.

I just wanted to get a feeling if this is what everyone is doing for V1, and if it's still expected to be the solution for V1.1?
