[Deploying Sakai] Sakai 2.6.0 No Participants list

Thank you for that info about the Realm for the site. I did in fact see the user that had been removed in that list just like the screenshot in the JIRA. After searching the realm tables and removing the record manually, I can now see the participant list for that course.
Thanks again.

A brief search reveals that exception is thrown from the JLDAPProvider. Once encountered, that will return an empty list:
http://qa1-nl.sakaiproject.org/codereview/trunk/api/edu/amc/sakai/user/JLDAPDirectoryProvider.java.html

If you look into the Realm for this site, do you see any orphaned records (ie just the internal id)? If so, you may have run into this long standing issue:
http://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-6603

Essentially, you can't remove the orphaned user from the realm using the UI so might need some specially crafted SQL to get rid of that entry.

cheers,
Steve

I didn't have that permission enabled but after checking it, the problem was still the same.

I also see this in the stdout log file:
WARN TP-Processor7 org.sakaiproject.site.tool.SiteAction - org.sakaiproject.site.tool.SiteAction at 77db45<mailto:org.sakaiproject.site.tool.SiteAction at 77db45> buildContextForTemplate chef_site-siteInfo-list.vm
java.lang.RuntimeException: getUsers(): RuntimeException during search eid = f7c4e6d9-a7b4-4069-b218-ba345ccdc9f6]

I have been trying to remove references to this eid but it doesn't seem to help. I also don't see this user_id in the sakai_user_id_map table.

Ryan:

Do you have the site.viewRoster permission turned on for instructor? This looks similar to KNL-77(http://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/KNL-77). However, the admin should be able to bypass the permission check and see the participant list.

Thanks,

- Zhen

Hello all,
I have noticed that with a few worksites we have and sometimes after adding or removing participants in a worksite I can no longer see the listing of participants in the course. Users are still enrolled in the course as I can see them in MySQL and they can still login and access the course, but under site info there is no list of participants.
Has anyone seen this before? This happens when logged in as the admin user or the instructor of an affected worksite. Even after adding a new participant the list still doesn't appear.
