Hi Matt,
I wrote a webservice that takes an appropriately formatted XML file and loads users into a site, this might be of use:
http://bit.ly/7RRPaZ
It can easily be adapted to create accounts with a modified schema since the XML parsing is there already.
cheers,
Steve

There does not seem to be a built-in method on the administration panel for this. Do I need to use sakai's API to create a script to add members? If so, can someone point me to the documentation for it?
