[Portfolio] Status of OSP Jira Issues

Hello Alan Berg and members of the OSP Community,

The OSP Community met by phone on Monday, January 31, to discuss the status of outstanding OSP Jira issues in preparation for the Sakai 2.8 release candidate. The following OSP Jira tickets were reviewed and actions taken are noted below. Community members, please note that there are still plenty of issues to claim and fix if anyone with the requisite skills has the time.

High Priority Issues:
SAK-19881 - Upgraded to critical. Needs verification. Needs to be claimed by someone.
SAK-19878 - Created after our Monday meeting - Claimed by Zhen Qian.
SAK-19837 - Noah Botimer will claim this one and work on it. May be reclassified as will not/cannot fix. May also be reclassified as not critical, possibly minor. It may be possible to modify the current results.
SAK-19714 - Chris Maurer will claim this issue and look at it this week.
SAK-19618 - Chris will claim this issue.
SAK-19184 - In progress. Noah will make a "big ugly change to get on the right track with this issue." It will be an unnecessary patch in the process of getting the right fix. There is a less acceptable fix already in the release. SAK-14401 describes a related issue.
SAK-18344 - Chris will claim this issue but indicates it may not be applied to the 2.8 release.

Issues Fixed or Won't Fix:
SAK-19863 - Fixed, merged to 2.8, and verified.
SAK-19862 - Fixed and merged to 2.7 and 2.8
SAK-19843 - Fixed in trunk but not yet merged.
SAK-19795 - Fixed
 SAK-19729 - Fixed
SAK-19715 - Won't fix. Difficult to resolve. Already listed a resolved/won't fix.
SAK-19705 - Closed. Duplicate ticket.
SAK-19518 - Fixed
SAK-19504 - Won't fix. Considered fluke for now.
SAK-19354 - Fixed and merged to 2.8, may or may not have been verified.
SAK-18924 - Fixed
SAK-18538 - Fixed and merged to 2.7/2.8.
SAK-17701 - Cannot reproduce.

Open Issues Reported Since January 10, 2011
SAK-19932 - Minor issue.
SAK-19864 - Leave as major. Could be easily fixed. Needs to be claimed by someone.
 SAK-19859 - Leave as major. Might have to be left for 2.9 release. Needs to be claimed by someone.
 SAK-19801 - Leave as major. Needs to be claimed by someone.
 SAK-19798 - Claimed by Noah, leave as major. Should be easy to fix.
SAK-19796 - Leave as major. Needs to be claimed by someone.

Additional Issues Still Open - To be discussed again February 8
SAK-19774 - Minor. Noah indicated he is taking this issue under condition and will fix at some point in near future (may or may not occur by release candidate), but not assigned to anyone yet
SAK-19740 - Major. Needs to be claimed by someone.
SAK-19737 - Major. Has to do with the invisibility of unpublished forms. The visibility issue needs to be fixed. When that happens, this ticket will become a non-issue. Needs to be claimed by someone.
SAK-19704 - Major. Workaround is possible. Needs to be claimed by someone.
SAK-19703 - Major. No loss of data occurs. Needs to be claimed by someone.
SAK-19664 - Trivial. Needs to be claimed by someone.
SAK-19643 - Major. Needs to be claimed by someone.
SAK-19505 - Major. Needs to be claimed by someone.
SAK-19481 - Major. Similar to SAK-16131, Chris and Lynn Ward are watchers on this issue. Needs to be claimed by someone.
SAK-19474 - Minor. Needs to be claimed by someone.
SAK-19473 - Major. Needs to be claimed by someone. Could be fixed quickly.
SAK-19465 - Major. Needs to be claimed by someone.
SAK-19356 - Minor. Needs to be claimed by someone.
SAK-19340 - Minor. Needs to be claimed by someone.
SAK-19339 - Minor. Needs to be claimed by someone.
SAK-19337 - Major. Needs to be claimed by someone.
SAK-19336 - Major. Needs to be claimed by someone.
SAK-19322 - Minor. Needs to be claimed by someone.
SAK-19321 - Major. Needs to be claimed by someone.
SAK-19316 - Minor. Needs to be claimed by someone.
SAK-19201 - Minor. Needs to be claimed by someone.
SAK-18309 - Major. Needs to be claimed by someone.
SAK-17579 - Major. Workaround is possible. A simple setting for administrators can accomplish this. Downgrade to major. Lots of work investigating and testing is needed to resolve this ticket. Needs to be claimed by someone.
