Brian,

I can write up some step-by-step instructions for using Noah's xslt-facade to run transformations and preview the results as you work. Even with the facade it is a pretty involved process. I'll try to get to it tomorrow. Bug me if you haven't heard anything by Friday.

Subject: [Portfolio] Alternate Form Renderers

Hello:

Does anybody have instructions for the slightly less than technically inclined on how to write an alternate form renderer for OSP? We have a form that we want to display without the orange boxes when it is being viewed outside the context of a portfolio.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,
Brian

Hi OSP colleagues

Those of you on Monday's OSP Community call heard me speak about My Showcase, an open source application from the University of Hull. I am glad to see that Lynn Ward has posted a direct message to this list from David Snowden about the tool. Ian Dolphin has asked any of us who have the time to take a look and get back to David with any feedback we might have.

As Lynn says, the code is available on http://www.my-showcase.org/download.aspx along with further information concerning the toolset, and a demo version that allows you to see how it works.

Sean Keesler added the tool to our Three Canoes 2.7 instance of Sakai, but it the tool has been crashing. We would appreciate any advice on how to prevent that from happening.
