[Portfolio] Presentation Magic

I'm not sure about .doc vs. .docx, but the two approaches I've really seen in Java land are the Apache POI and the OpenOffice.org utilities. As far as "the first few lines", this is always debatable when considering extraction from a layout-oriented format to basic text, but I'm sure you could grab the unformatted body text and truncate at 500 chars or something.

Unfortunately, I don't have any sample code handy.
