[DG: Teaching & Learning] DEADLINE EXTENDED! Submit your proposal for the 2012 Jasig-Sakai Conference by Fri, March 23

Dear Using Sakai List and Pedagogy List,

We received a number of requests to extend the deadline for the call for proposals for this summer's conference. Some were knee-deep in QA, some out of the country, others on spring break or simply behind the eight ball at work. To help out, the deadline has been extended until this Friday.

FYI, Pepperdine will be bringing five faculty to the conference this year. Since 2009 the IT department has sponsored the conference fees, hotel, and travel to bring several faculty to the conference. It's been an excellent way to engage with our faculty with ed tech, help them learn about the growth of the Sakai platform (and voice their needs directly to the developers!), and seek their leadership and guidance with our university and IT strategic initiatives.

Anyway... if you were considering a proposal but ran out of time -- the door is open again! Send in those proposals. Scroll down to see the official notice and the link to submit. Thanks, everyone!

Sincerely,
Alan Regan, MFA
