Hi Everyone,

The QA testing for 2.9 has had a great week. We have dropped the number of
resolved issues yet to be verified from 377 to 286! This is the type of
work that can only be done when the community works together. Thank you
for the outstanding effort.

Also, in response to last weeks mail there was a question as to why we're
using trunk. It is better for everyone who is testing these issues, and
the developers who may need to make more changes, to be using the same
environment. For that reason I ask that when you continue to verify the
resolved issues that you use trunk.

Here are the details to get started working on those tickets:

Verify Resolved Issues - We have a list of 286 issues that have been
resolved and need to be tested and verified.
Please use the following link to get started:
https://jira.sakaiproject.org/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa?mode=hide&requestId=13243
Use the trunk server to test these issues:
http://nightly2.sakaiproject.org/

As we work toward verifying resolved issues we will need to begin thinking
about the other priorities in testing. There is a big need to modify our
current suite of Test Scripts. The "Test Conditions and Scripts" page has
been updated with the version and/or year that the script was last
updated.

Please take a look at that page and let me know if you, or someone on your
team, will be able to update those scripts that are out of date.

Finally, we must also keep regression testing in mind. This type of
testing will help discover any issues that have not yet been found.

Thank you again for all your great work and I let's make this another
excellent week!

Sincerely,
Rob Egan
