That estimation algorithm sounds good, but I think the unit modifier is sometimes optional. Though I'd say it's required for sure for nearly any code or tool involving RSF.

Algorithm For Accurate Estimates:

(Original Estimate * 2) increase units by 1 = Actual time it will take.

For the uninitiated that means if you estimate that something will take 2 hours then:

2 hours * 2 = 4 hours
then increase the units:
It will take you 4 days to do the work.

If the original estimate is 2 weeks:

2 weeks * 2 = 4 weeks
increase the units:
It will take you 4 months to complete said task.

It started out as a joke, but honestly is pretty accurate a scary amount of the time.
